Young, smart and beautiful with everything figured out – or so they thought. Born into a prosperous Greek American family, sisters Nicole and Theodora have achieved the perfect balance between the old world rich in Greek tradition and the freedom of life in America.
Headstrong and independent, Nicole plunges into life head-first, too often ignoring the risks. Her talent and astute business acumen make her the perfect heir to her father’s empire, but his old-world attitudes prevent him from giving the top spot to a woman. Nicole’s world spins out of control when she falls for a married senator who shares her heritage and her dreams. While struggling to navigate previously uncharted moral waters, she uncovers treachery and corruption that will break both her sister’s and her father’s heart. The decisions she makes will affect the happiness of those closest to her and will define the woman she is to become.
The young and conventional Theodora weds and quickly learns that marriage is not the paradise she envisioned. She must soon confront the growing suspicion that her husband is not the man he seems. Forced to endure the constant disdain and disapproval of her patrician mother-in-law, she resigns herself to the fact that she will always be considered an outsider. As she struggles to succeed at her marriage, she seeks the wisdom and council of her beloved Greek grandmother who has been happily married for over half a century. Ultimately she must come to terms with the reality of her own life and take responsibility for the role she has played in deceiving herself.
As the dramatic plot unfolds, the two young women must confront deceit and betrayal and their own shortcomings – while they struggle to preserve the values they cherish.
Set in Baltimore, Annapolis and the tiny island of Ikaria, Greece, Circle Dance provides a view into the lives of a dynamic family that has successfully achieved the American dream without abandoning the customs and traditions handed down through their Greek heritage. Artfully intertwined plots bring generations together in a dance of rejoicing and mourning, loss and healing that will keep readers enthralled until the last page.

When I was awarded the title, “The Deception” Circle Dance Character Prequel, for my narrative audition I looked at the project as a task to complete. However, upon completion I had become quite interested in knowing more about what happened with the characters!I started to read Circle Dance shortly before bedtime, but stayed up long past my normal time. The next morning I couldn’t resist taking the morning off to read the rest of the book. I just couldn’t wait to find out what happened. Of course, I was pleased with the ending. You will simply have to read it for yourself to figure out why this book pulls you in so strongly and won’t let you go until you have seen the characters through to the end!
Definitely read these books in this order: The Betrayal, The Deception, (both short story character prequels) and then read Circle Dance and you will be enthralled from the very beginning. Now I am wondering what will develop in the future with these characters and upcoming books?

Circle Dance edition by Lynne Constantine Valerie Constantine Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I love their Mrs Perish book but this book made feel so alive, so thankful. I couldn’t put this book down. As a first generation immigrant, I related through the whole family and their stories.
I will be under the afterglow of this family's story for a few days. The story of Nicole and Theodora were like two novels. I could have read on and on. But, like a lot of books, the ending was just too abrupt, just a one-liner about Nicole and Michael. Their finally getting together could have at least been drawn out over another Chapter. Other than that, I enjoyed the book.
this is the third book I’ve read by these sister authors and I am anxiously awaiting their fourth. Very good books!
I enjoyed the story but was distracted by discriptive prose. Show, don't tell comes to mind. Once I got through the first few chapters (I almost quit reading this book because I lost interest in the story line and characters) things started getting interesting. This is a story about family, friendships, betrayal, broken hearts, and many kinds of love. I feel it could have been improved by less wordiness and description. I found myself skimming through long paragraphs throughout the book. The characters are believable and well developed. I recommend this to anyone who likes rich characters and happy endings.
Sorry, it this is just one of those novels that had all the elements to be a great novel, I just couldn't keep reading it. I made it through almost half of it, but it was just not entertaining me. I read for entertainment, and if the author can't do that job, then I fire them and hire a new author/novel.
There were some good, well-written parts in this novel, and it was those that kept me reading. But there just weren't enough of them to continue.
I never wanted this book to end. I knew the family and was a part of it. The characters were real and authentic, you could feel the love they had for eachother. I wanted the story to go on forever.
I nearly put this book aside about mid-way through. The beginning was extremely promising and I was drawn immediately into the story and the characters. But then both sisters started making some very stupid choices and I thought "Here we go with another shallow chick lit book." However, they not only redeemed themselves, but grew up, learned a lot and actually became very admirable characters. The mother, Elani was a real gem and some of her speaches about love and relationships should be required reading for young adults. The sex scenes were well-handled with discretion and not at all graphic. A very sweet, enjoyable read about a close-knot family.
